WHO IS THE AGENDA GENIE?
After studying Business Management, the pull to event management and coordination was strong but the environment at the time meant I ended up in a bland corporate position where I learned critical and valuable skills for more than 30 years.
During these three decades, I've organised (herded cats) multiple group trips, parties, themed events, corporate functions and more...the blend of creative idea generation, OCD attention to detail and a diplomatic approach to negotiation (not compromise) learned in the corporate world leave me well placed to hold your hand as you plan your adventures.
I'm a Brit who's been in South Africa for over a decade and exploring Southern Africa during that time as well as the local wonders of SA. This country is blessed with the best scenery, wine, golf courses, foodie delights and more... and that's without the bush and the natural hospitality of the people.
The idea for parallel itineraries came about when an annual 'boys' golf tour in Europe decided to visit South Africa and the wives, used to being 'golf widows' for a week in Spain (rightly) wanted to join! Understanding how much golf vs tourist activities vs wine tasting vs safari for a group of 16 people with various hobbies and interests and budgets was a challenge. And one that I felt nobody in the traditional travel market was addressing. So, arranging group events and travel for golf widows and beyond became a vocation.
My passion for crazy themed parties and events, experience of corporate hospitality (conferences, team building, client functions etc) and my wanderlust to travel all corners of the globe have evolved in parallel with my mid-life crisis hobbies in wellness (yoga, Access Consciousness, Reiki, NLP tapping and Life Coaching), wine, photography and (bad) golf so that common interest trips for like minded travelers is the evolution of the business perfectly aligned to my family nickname of 'Agenda Girl'. There is no group too diverse, too large or too small that we can't accommodate and no idea too zany that we can't help you to bring it to life so please don't hesitate to get in touch!
